New Season of Hockey and few children make it to the State Team trials

This academic year the Hockey season started in Pondicherry in July.
Steady practise went on in all the 8 associated schools in the city.
Recently, a knock-out format tournament was concieved by the local coaches and Project Officers.
In the month of Sept, 3 matches were played as a part of knock-out tournament.
In the 1st match, Amalorpavam School beat GHS, Thirvandarkoil 1-0.
In the 2nd match, Swami Vivekananda School, Thirubhivanai beat Wiseman School, 4-0.
In the 3rd match, GHS Kuruvinatham beat Swami Vivekananda HSS, Lawspet
The 4th match between Petit Seminaire and Aditya Vidyashram is yet to be played.
The 3 winning teams of the above mentioned matches, move to the semi finals.
In another important development for One Thousand Hockey Legs Programme, 3 children from OTHL programme have cleared the 1st level of Selection trials for the U-17 State Team and have reached the top-30.
Syed Irfan and Dharmesh from Amalorpavam School and Nallarun from Swami Vivekananda HSS are the proud ones to make it to the state level camp.
