Invitation to schools for Summer Camp in Puducherry

Schools in the Pondicherry and its suburbs are invited to send their wards to the first Summer Camp. The invitation is extended to both OTHL enlisted as well as any other public or private schools.

OTHL will be organizing two-day Summer Camp, on 18th and 19th April 2009. The most likely venue is Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, Puducherry.

Though primarily the camp is for the Five Schools enlisted under One Thousand Hockey Legs (OTHL) Program, arrangements are being made for other schools also. This is to increase the awareness to a wider section of schools.

First, OTHL enlisted schools are expected to confirm their participation. Invitation to OTHL enlisted schools and to about 15 others schools have already been extended.

However, schools can also confirm their participation through this site, by log in process or by emailing us to support@othl.stick2hockey.com

The camp will involve:
• Basic Hockey skills training
• Few interactive sessions on Hockey with the children.
• Basic level quizzes
• Short lectures on Hockey
• Display of some video matches of India
• Presentation ceremony

The details are:
• Date: 18th and 19th April 2009. (Night inclusive)
• Venue: Yet to be Finalized.
• Fees: Waived for OTHL subscribed school otherwise Rs.50
• Boarding and Lodging: Will be covered by us.
• Number of children per school: All enrolled in OTHL programme.
• Open to: Other children as well but 11-14 years ONLY.

Please do the following to avail the excellent opportunity:

• Send in your confirmations BEFORE 15th April, ’09 thro’ phone or letter.
• A teacher for contact and future correspondences. He or she will also accompany the children at the camp compulsorily.
• List of children who will participate from your school.
• Specify separate teams for Boys and Girls.
