Omar Siddique of JDS Ganganagar and Rahul Singh of Khalsa were chosen the respective best players.

The icing on the cake came in the form of a match played at the behest of the two Julien Day School teams of Kalyani and Brahmananda. They wanted to play a match between a combined Julien Day team and a coaches/veterans side. The coaches/veterans side comprised of Clive Eastwood, Rocky Downes, Clifford Ryan, all former elite players and Srikanth, and (Dr) Shankar Kumar Chatterjee, both former amateur hockey players. The “golden oldies” matched their wards move for move and surged into the lead through a first half goal by Clive Eastwood. The students had to struggle for the equalizer through the hard tackling veteran defence which came in the fag end of the game. The veterans made up with their passion for hockey what they lacked in stamina.
