Action between DTEA and Modern school

A parent's observation on a OTHL day

We, volunteers, were there in the Modern School campus recently, where one of the Delhi Education Zone's hockey competition was held. Our OTHL subscribing school, DTEA, won the event (Under-14) that day. We are happy to present below the observations made by Dr. Kartik Saxena, a parent who watched the match. He was there to pep up his alma mater's team in the match. He watched the entire match. His son was also a prominent playing member of the host team. Dr. Saxena is Head, Dept. of Surgery, Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Govt. of Delhi. Such a busy professional took time off to be witness his son's school hockey match is a matter of satisfaction. He seems to have a big heart for hockey. His email to us is encouraging and motivate our mission further.

DTEA saves a danger at their goalmouth

"At the outset I would like to congratulate you on the victory of DTEA School over Modern School in the Inter-school finals last week. I really appreciate the fact that you are taking so much pains and efforts to train such small school kids, who would otherwise, never get the opportunity to learn hockey through proper coaching."

"I was very much impressed and touched by the way you and your team of experts were encouraging and guiding the young kids after the match."

Thrill of tie-break

"I got the chance to see your coverage of the event on the internet (facebook: one thousand hockey legs). It was tremendous. The photographs and videos you have put up are absolutely professional and of the highest standards."

"My son Shiven Saxena happened to be one of the goal scorers in that match. On seeing the photographs, he is even more inspired and motivated, than before, to do well in hockey. I can imagine the same for all the other kids. This kind of encouragement, can bring enormous changes in the Indian Hockey scenario in the long run."
