One Thousand Hockey Legs (OTHL) Seniors have entered the semifinals of the Vinod Khandkar All India Under-21 Cup in Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh) today. Led by former National Hockey Academy player Sunil, the team beat formidable Tamil Nadu XI 4-1 in the quarterfinal today at the Major Dhyan Chand Astro Turf Stadium. Yesterday, on the first day of their engagement, OTHL Sr overcame stiff resistance of Dholpur Rajasthan team in the cruelling shoot out.
In their first match, the score stood as 1-1 after regulation time. OTHL Srs could manage a 3-1 scoreline in the shoot out, thus set up quarterfinal encounter against Tamil Nadu.
Abhinandan, who had figured in the last two School Games and also in the recent Guwahati Khelo India Games, struck a solitary goal. His work was followed it up. Guest player Aman scored a brace while another guest player Arpit Yadav added another one for the quarterfinal succes.
