Dear hockey students in Kanpur, our new hockey home

A month ago, we informed you all that there will be lot of hockey activities in Kanpur, the fourth and last city to join One Thousand Hockey Legs Program.

Now, it is time to remind that, and then go for rejoicing. Because hockey is coming in a fullpledged manner.

On February 1 and 2, our boys and girls will have a lot of fun with hockey in Kanpur.

Two things are planned there.

Firstly, Hockey Quiz.: We have sent you quiz materials by courier, and have confirmed that your school have received them all. Hope you all got a copy of it by now. We have sent them in two languages, English and Hindi.

Secondly, there is a hockey competition. Venue for this is Greenpark Stadium, Kanpur city.

Greenpark is famous for cricket, One Day Internationals. For a change, we will have hockey there on the lush green natural grass grounds.

Our focus this time is to initiate you all into hockey, let us know how it is played, how it is shared and all.

This time in the quiz, we focus a famous player, KD Singh 'Babu' We have sent you his life profile. Then we are also focussing on World Cup that India will host early next month.

So, your quiz questions will be taken mostly from KD Singh Babu's life story or about the forthcoming World Cup.
