Ghittorni school pays back in a humble way

As one speeds on the national highway from Gurgaon, just crossed the Haryana border on Delhi direction, the school stands out.

Government Boys Senior Secondary School borders the busy highway, lies a bit head of series of shops that dot the roadline.

In a heartening development of sort, two boys from the globally acclaimed One Thousand Hockey Legs, project of Delhi based Not-for-profit organization Hockey Citizen Group, have made their organization proud by emerging glorious in a tight trials for the newly put out National Hockey Academy.

Asia’s oldest school, Anglo-Arabic Senior Secondary school, located near New Delhi Railway Junction, won the inter-school hockey cup it staged with the patronage of One Thousand Hockey Legs.

One Thousands Hockey Legs (OTHL) have last year appeared under Global Projects series of the Federation Internationale de Hockey (FIH).

Even before that ever since Delhi based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Hockey Citizen Group -- which innovated and put on board its flagship program OTHL – put in efforts aiming enhanced appeal to wider spectrum of people, societies, nations, cultures in order to transform its underprivileged kids into a an enlightened minds.

What I should do with my NGO: Retain talent or encourage export?

Having established a fairly sustainable grassroot development model that suits Indian conditions, my Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) and its flagship project One Thousand Hockey Legs(OTHL) begs some questions right now, and await for suitable answers.

The brain storming kind of thing is needed to move forward without getting into irresistible urge for instant success, and without diluting the very purposes for which the NGO was formed at the first place.

Prof. Joe Ezekiel Inter-School Hockey Cup 2015 commenced today at the Shivaji Stadium in New Delhi with teams looking eager to start the tournament on a high.

Pawan, Parvez and Sushil grab first ever OTHL Monthly Scholarship.

On the eve of celebrating its Seventh Anniversary in rest of India -- and Fifth anniversary for Delhi Chapter -- the much acclaimed and innovative One Thousand Hockey Legs announces a Monthly Scholarship Scheme (MS) for its outstanding youth stars.

Well-known trio of Delhi OTHL viz Pawan, Parvez Alam and Sushil Chauhan get the distinction of being first batch to get the 3-year OTHL-MS.
