New hope on eastwards

Trials and practice for Sub-Junior Nationals underway


One Thousand Hockey Legs has been privileged to get direct entry in the Hockey India Sub-Junior National Championship. We have been participating in the Sub-Junior Nationals from 2014. With two consecutive victories in as many as days, the Delhi based NGO team One Thousand Hockey Legs XI has entered the Super League of 35th Sub-Jr Nehru Cup being underway in Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi.

Two OTHL teams take part in Chandigarh tournament


Sunil Vohra Memorcial Cup is an important  hockey calendar activity in the Union Territory of Chandigarh, which is capital for prosperous Punjab and Haryana. The event is for school team and for Under-14 boys. Like last year, OTHL entered its Delhi team. In addition, OTHL's Kolkata also made their maiden entry. Its nice of the organizers that they accepted two teams from our increasingly acceptable NGO.

Competition season begins in Delhi OTHL


OTHL Delhi conducted summer camps in many centres across the city: Anglo-Arabic Sr Sec School Grounds, Yamuna Sports Complex and Union Academy Sr Sec Schools to quote a few. These camps ran for three to 10 weeks starting from the last week of April. With the onset of monsoon, the month of July and mid-August wtinessed opening of schools. Since our grounds have become wet, these 45 - 50 days were used for focussing OTHL wards on academics.


OTHL founder wins Sports Illustrated annual award


Globally popular sports monthly magazine, Sports Illustrated,  staged its sixth Annual Sports Person of the Year (SOTY) Awards night recently.
