Dear hockey students in Kanpur, our new hockey home

A month ago, we informed you all that there will be lot of hockey activities in Kanpur, the fourth and last city to join One Thousand Hockey Legs Program.

Now, it is time to remind that, and then go for rejoicing. Because hockey is coming in a fullpledged manner.

On February 1 and 2, our boys and girls will have a lot of fun with hockey in Kanpur.

On the sunny Sunday morning, OTHL enrolled school Shanti Sangha Girls High School, Behela played a friendly match against the "Thunderbirds".

Thunderbirds is a team of enthusiatic pre-teens coached by our Kolkata Project Officer, Dr. Shankar Kumar Chatterjee.

PUDUCHERRY: Petit Seminaire Higher Secondary School was adjudged one of the top five schools in the State by the Hockey Citizen Group, New Delhi. In the league matches conducted, the school secured the second place.

The end of the begining

This time, on 1st Dec ’09, the OTHL team headed for Hooghly district, Kolkata. The schools in focus were Kanaipur Sri Guru High School and the Brahmananda High School at Rishra, near Konnagar.
The plan was to deliver the first and the main consignment of Hockey equipment for the two Schools as part of the OTHL programme.

After a lot of tussles in the traffic, I lost a lot of valuable time and was finally make it to the 1st school at 1145 - Kanaipur Sriguru High School 11-4...
