Emotional Goodbye to Begumpur OTHL School - Part 3

We haven’t just said goodbye to them. We assured the boys that we will continue to monitor the schools’ hockey team for another year or so. We will consider return, though a remote possibility, if any case the system we put in there shows any sign of stagnation.

We also identified SIX PLAYERS FOR MONTHLY SCHOLARSHIP FOR TWO YEARS to get them ready for college admission from two years now on.

Rules and Regulations of Tournament

1. The tournament will be played as per FIH rules unless specified otherwise.

2. Each team can have 11 or 9 players, match to be played in 2 or 3 spells with equal time and rest, with varying playtime, maximum of 50 min.

3. Only teams subscribed to One Thousand Hockey Legs of Hockey Citizen Group and players born on or after 12.12.1997 will participate.

It was a great occasion for everybody in the One Thousand Hockey Legs when Delhi Cup 2011 was held recently.

Its a great opportunity for the young boys to play on the same turf where in the last year two major international tournaments were held -- Commonwealth Games and Hero Honda World Cup.

A parent's observation on a OTHL day

We, volunteers, were there in the Modern School campus recently, where one of the Delhi Education Zone's hockey competition was held. Our OTHL subscribing school, DTEA, won the event (Under-14) that day. We are happy to present below the observations made by Dr. Kartik Saxena, a parent who watched the match.
