This time, on 1st Dec ’09, the OTHL team headed for Hooghly district, Kolkata. The schools in focus were Kanaipur Sri Guru High School and the Brahmananda High School at Rishra, near Konnagar.
The plan was to deliver the first and the main consignment of Hockey equipment for the two Schools as part of the OTHL programme.
After a lot of tussles in the traffic, I lost a lot of valuable time and was finally make it to the 1st school at 1145 - Kanaipur Sriguru High School 11-4...

Petit wins the inaugural Best School Hockey Trophy

The rains last week had nearly spoiled the show for OTHL.
All the school grounds soaked with water and pools of water all over the place.

Aditya embraces hockey amidst rain and unabatting enthusiasm
Up and coming educational institution of repute, Aditya Vidhyasram of Puducherry, embraced hockey on Tuesday, the 23rd November.
The occasion was marked by a simple but impressive function attended by a couple of Hockey Citizen Group trustees including V. Ravichandran.

The crucial last phase of the innovative Schools Hockey League 2009 has commenced. The last week of November will take the Special Schools Trophy to its home -- which will be decided after all the seven matches are completed in Puducherry this week.
Two matches each on 23rd and 24th have been held on Tuesday and Wednesday, but not before the organiers climbed a mountain of problem before the ball was set in motion.

As the year 2009 year comes to a close, One Thousand Hockey Legs prepares to conclude the Hockey season for this year.

After about six months of home work, our OTHL kicked off in Kolkata. We had two days of program, following is the sum up of Day 1 (26 Oct '09).
Our day started with our meeting of Don Bosco School ( Park Circus) Principal to request them to take up OTHL. Mrs Britto, teacher in the same school. introduced us to Principal, Father Siby.
