What a day it was? Anyone who feels or thinks Hockey is dying in this country and there is no enthusiasm left for it anymore should have accompanied the OTHL Team (Dr. S K Chatterjee and Shashank Gupta) today in Kolkata.
The OTHL day started with a long drive to Hooghly. The Kanaipur School and Rishra Brahamananda School children were waiting for us and within the few minutes, after the match sheets were filled, action began.

We, at Hockey Citizen Group, are proud to announce the winners of "Hockey World Cup- Watch, Report and Win" Contest.
This contest opened in the begining of the Hero Honda 2010 World Cup on 28th Feb 2010 and closd on 13th Mar 2010.

Kanpur: 21st Feb
On a cool Sunday morning at 6am, I went to Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (aka IIT Kanpur).
The occasion was to witness One Thousand Hockey Legs, Kanpur children participating in IIT K Golden Jubilee Marathon.
The children were participating in 5km run to symbolically show case to the World their love, support and passion for Hockey.

Hockey was seriously felt in Kanpur on February 1 and 2, when about 150 children and 50 others celebrated ‘Feel Hockey On Babu’s Day’.
The novel way of imparting children a sense of history – gathering for hockey on a legends’ birth anniversary – was staged at the Greenpark Stadium.
On both days, two full grounds, made match ready by the stadium authorities, were bubbling with the enthusiasm of boys and girls of 8 leading schools of the city.

On the occasion of former Hockey player Late K D Singh 'Babu' 's birth anniversary, 02nd Feb, One Thousand Hockey Legs is organizing a festival for 2 days, 1st and 2nd Feb '10: FEEL HOCKEY on BABU's Day.
K D Singh Babu hailed from Barabanki and was double Gold Medalist (1948 and 52 Olympics). In 1952 Helsinki Olympics, he led the team. For more info on Babu, you can visit:
